SARDI showcases its innovative science at Port Festival
SARDI showcased the latest in research and development in aquatic sciences at the weekend’s Port Festival in SA’s maritime heartland. SARDI’s display highlighted the work of its Wild Fisheries group in Prawn, Crab and Rocklobster research and stock assessment. 
Also on display were the ground breaking new T-90 Prawn net, plenty of crustacean specimens, posters and live Blue Swimmer Crabs and Rocklobsters. SARDI’s Seafood post-harvest team completes the sea to the plate theme with examples of its innovative packaging technologies and new product developments. With SARDI’s key research areas covering aquaculture, wild fisheries, oceanography, seafood and product innovation, and marine environment and ecology its innovative science will be a crowd puller.
