Pushing abalone growth rates

The dietary requirement of abalone, to get them fatter quicker, is one of the talking points at a marine symposium in Adelaide.
Marine Innovation Southern Australian nutrition and feed scientist David Stone is part of a research team trialling higher protein abalone diets.
He says it has the potential to push up farmed abalone growth rates.
"The repercussions are very exciting, a 10 per cent improvement in farm productivity in the grow out cycle."
