Murray Cod Documentrary on Escape with ET
The work of SARDI Murray cod researchers, Brenton Zampatti,
Paul Jennings and Ian Magraith was featured in a
documentary on the iconic fish species that premiered on Discovery
Channel Australia in December 2011. The documentary, produced by
Australian fishing identity, Andrew Ettingshausen, called ‘Ultimate Fish:
Murray Cod’ follows Andrew as he journeys the Murray from Queensland to South
Australia and the Murray Mouth in a bid to catch and release a 50 kilo Murray
cod. The documentary team joined the SARDI researchers on an electro-fishing
boat near Lock One at Blanchetown, where they helped weigh, tag and microchip
